FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Below you'll find the most commonly asked questions I receive from clients. If you don't see yours below, don't worry, just click on my Ask Question Box and you can email me directly.
Do you shoot in a studio or outdoor locations?
A: Both! Depending on the type of style and scenery you’re looking for, we can shoot at one of my studios or I can come to you. I specialize in custom and creative location portraits. Choosing the location for your photos is a big decision. We’ll talk it over together and find a location that will suit your particular needs. For a head shot, the best location is one that provides an interesting visual texture to the image and is pleasing without drawing attention away from the most important part of the image, which is you!
How far in advance should we book you?
A: Bookings are first-come, first-serve. I have a full time job, so my limited spots fill up quickly. I am generally booked 1 month out for portrait sessions and longer for weddings or special events.
Where are you located and will you travel?
A: I live in South Orange County and photograph throughout Southern California, but I am happy to travel to other locations with expenses covered.
When will I get my photos?
A: Portrait clients generally get their photos within 2 - 3 weeks, while wedding or special event clients get their previews within 2 weeks and their final gallery within 4 - 8 weeks.
Will I get the copyright to my photos?
A: The copyright belongs to the photographer as the creator. Clients automatically get a “print release” to use and print their photos for personal use. However, copyright can be sold if requested.
Will I get all of the photos?
A: You won’t get unflattering or technically deficient photos. You will get, however, the best photos that tell your story. I promise I won’t keep any good photos from you.
How will I get my photos?
A: You will get an online gallery that will be available for 2 weeks for portrait sessions and 1 month for weddings and special events. You can download the photos as many times as needed, and you can also share them with friends and family. They will be in high-resolution format with no watermark.
Something important came up. Can we reschedule?
A: Yes, Let’s look at alternate dates that will work for both of us.
Can I get printed proofs of my images instead of an online gallery?
A: Yes and No, welcome to the new age of digital delivery. No DVDs, no USB drives. Instant digital download for all. However, if you prefer a hard copy then I can provide hard copy images, usually within several days following the end of the shoot. Pricing and delivery time are dependent on the number of images and your location.
